Recommendations
  • Dress in snug-fitting but comfortable workout, dance or yoga wear.  Bare feet are appropriate, but if you need more foot support, ask me and I can give you some recommendations.
  • If you'd like to purchase a hip wrap (hip scarf), try eBay first. You can get the best deals there.
  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes before class begins at 10 a.m.
  • Be sure to get plenty of sleep. Don't skip breakfast!  It's important to have at least a snack before a morning class.  Drink water before, during and after the session. Go easy and don't overdo it.
  • Learning dance moves will feel awkward at first.  Expect that!  Understand that it takes time for your muscles to learn new movements.  It will get easier.
  • If you are new to Middle Eastern Music, first look on sites such as Napster, Amazon and iTunes for downloadables before investing in a lot of full-length CDs.  Try anything by Amr Diab, Hakim, Warda, Shereen and Hossam Ramzy.  The compilation CDs that the Bellydance Superstars produce are very good places to begin.
